TV THE MICHIGAN DAILY "" Aommitteemen Formals, Accessories For Senior Ball Choose Guests Accented ByGay Summer Flowers For Senior Ball__ _ Look, (;irls By VIRGINIA VOORHEES | The latest version of feminine fra- } rance and enchantment for yourl formal evenings shows flowers, bothl real and artificial, ribbons and, jeweled ornaments resting precar- iously (or so they seem) in clusters of curls-in front, in back, on the sides, everywhere. With the approaching Senior Ball as the climax of these formal even- ings, suggestions for unsual coiffure decorations are especially pertinent. A charming arrangement is that of a bunch of real posies of various kinds and contrasting colors placed on the side of the head. Attractive, too, is a tiara of tiny flowers emit- ting fragrance at every angle. Black Moire Bow Used Another new style finds flat curls on the top of the head held fast with a black moire bow, in the center of which glistens a jeweled button. One may merely tie a narrow ribbon around the head with a pert little bow in front and be as "right" as the best of them. In perfect keeping with. those quaint gowns inspired by the fashions of grandmother's day is a band of black velvet ribbon fastened about your throat and .another, narrower ,one, at your wrist. Flowered and jeweled hair clips are also making their appearance in the midst of curls and the smooth coiffures. A crystal clip is unusual when it vies with shining hair at a point low in the back of the new elongated headdress. A brilliant clip in the design of a star-fish, is still another attractive hair ornament. Butterflies On The Head For this same purpose there is a dainty clip with tiny velvet flowers in delicate shades seeming to grow out of a glassy-looking background of lacy tracery. And two huge fabric butter- flies of a material contrasting with your gown may be attractively perched on the side of the head. Then, too, there is the possibility of gath- ering together, by means of these lovely clips, those slender, individual strands whichsarenreplacing the single straps of evening gowns. ail House Parties Are Arranged ByFraternities A "death blow" to many house- party plans was dealt by the Dean's order that such parties must termin- ate no later than noon Monday, June 14.
