The above illustration shows a group in castd country clothing ap-
propriate for the time of year
The first man wears a diamond patterned shetland odd jacket with
grey flannel slacks, a comfortable, sensible outfit for the country.
The second figure is in an outfit suitable for town or country during
the warmer weather. His suit is a natural tan gaberdine, and he wears a
club-striped tie and white collar attached shirt. His shoes are brown
buckskin bluchers.

The third ensemble is a semi-sports outfit. This is suitable for either
city or country wear. In the country, informal accessories such as soft
collar attached shirts and Tyrolean hats are best with it, and in town a
homburg and a starched collar would be in order. This suit is a chalk
stripe grey flannel.
The center figure in the illustration above is in a brown herringbone
chevoit odd jacket. With this he is wearing a knitted cardigan in brown,
a white collar attached shirt and an India madras bow tie.

The next figure is in a suit which might be worn in either town or
country, and, here again, the accessories determine its character. In the
country, informal accessories and a lightweight "V" neck sleeveless pull-
over, such as is shown here, as well as a pair of Norwegian type brown calf
shoes make an appropriate ensemble. The suit is a two-button Glen Ur-
quhart plaid Saxony, and with it is worn a grey oxford buttondown collar
shirt.

What' s

New

.

Spring breaks over the land in a wave of fresh and joyous color - Mother Nature does her annual
nip-up - men's minds turn to the new, the fresh, the youthful - and we keep pace with the most inspiring
crop of colorful ideas we've ever garnered for your discerning gaze.
Many and tempting are the new materials for Spring - so many that it seems unfair to single out any
particular design. Perhaps worthiest of the four star rating is th new window-pane design - aimasterly rendi-
tion of the newest note in male fashion.
Narrow lines of harmonized or delicately contrasted color form wide squares on richly blended grounds.
The effect fairly vibrates with personality, and what is most important, is strictly in good taste.
The most colorful line of ties - shirts - hosiery-and handkerchief combinations we have ever shown
for Spring.
Nunn-Bush shoes for the men who care for the combination of style and quality.
This shop is brimful of the things men prefer -- and as usual, we lead the Easter parade.
