THE MICHIGAN DAILY SUNDAY, NOV. 22, 1 Seventh Annual Medical Exam Set For Dec. 4 The aptitude test for applicants to medical schools to be given December 4 at the University, marks the sev- enth annual milestone since the As- sociation of American Medical Col- leges first made these examinations a condition for entrance. These tests which were adopted by the Association in 1930, have been administered since then by the more than six hundred colleges comprising the Association, colleges that are Grade A, according to University an- nouncement issued yesterday. Al- though the examinations do not con- stitute the entire basis for admis- sion, they are considered the main criterion. The other means for de- termining the student's qualifications are through such indications as scho- lastic records, consensus of teachers' opinions, character, and the impres- sions made upon the members of the Committee on Admissions (of the Association.) Last year's examinations contained the following parts: scientific vocab- ulary, premedical information, com- prehension and retention, visual memory, memory for content, under- standing of printed material and spelling. The test to be given this year, according to the announce- ment, will be very similar in nature and will involve the general principles underlying last year's test. The ac- tual content, however, will be dif- ferent. PLANE REPORTED MISSING ' GARY, Nov. 21.-()- Coast guard reported tonight no trace of airplane that fell into Lake Michigan.
