Sororities Marriages Of Recent Alumni Are Announced Carpenter, Milliken Wed; Haight-Beebe Betrothal Is Made Known Of interest to Ann Arbor students are the recent announcements of a wedding and an engagement. Kathlene Carpenter. '35, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thompson Carpenter of Blissfield, was married yesterday in a double ring ceremony to Herbert Milliken, Jr., '35L, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Milliken of Flint. The bride, who is affiliated with Delta Gamma, wore white chiffon velvet with a braided cowl neckline, tiny white buttons down the back from the neck to the waist and a long train. A band, of chiffon velvet circled her tulle cap from which fell a three- tiered tulle veil covering the entire length of the long velvet train. She carried white roses. Sally Stapleton, '36, was the bride's only attendant. She wore a green moire taffeta princess dress with a purple velvet hat and accessories and carried yellow roses. The best man was the brother of the groom, who is a member of Chi Phi. Mrs. Carpenter, mother of the bride, had on blue velvet trimmed with' rhinestones. Among the guests were! Dean Alice C. Beebe of Ann Arbor, has been announced by Dr. and Mrs.! Lee E. Haight of Ann Arbor, parents of Miss Haight. The wedding will take place during the Christmas holi- days.
