Faculty To Give
Final Dance Of
Season Tonight
Mrs. Stuart Is In Charge
Of Affair, Subscription
Dinners To Precede
The Faculty Women's Club will
hod its final dance of the season
from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. tonight
in the ballroom of the Union.
Mrs. C. L. Jamison had charge of
all the arrangements for the dances
until she was taken ill. Since the
first of the year, Mrs. Lawrence Stu-
art has been general chairman of the
dcl'rice committee.
The Faculty-Alumni dance series
was started in 1929. Since then,
a bout six dances have peen sponsored
during the fall and winter seasons by
the Faculty Women's Club. Among
those women who have had charge
of these various series are Mrs.
Charles Meyer, Mrs. A. C. Fursten-
berg, Mrs. W. V. Marshall, Mrs.
Charles L. Jamison and Mrs. Law-
rence Stuart.I
Several subscription dinners will
precede the dance at the Union and
Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Sharfman will
also entertain a number of guests be-
fore the affair.
A dance has been held each month
since last October and various prom-
inent members of the faculty and
Ann Arbor alumnae have attended.
Among those who are expected to at-
tend the dance tonight are Mr. and
Mrs. Lawrence Stuart, Mr. and Mrs.
1. L. Sharfman and Mr. and Mrs.
N. G. Wallington.
BETA KAPPA RHO
Beta Kappa Rho, an organization
for independent women living in
private homes, will entertain at a
tea for faculty members from 4 to
6 p.m., Sunday, April 5, in the
Grand Rapids room of the League.
Beta Kappa Rho is under the direc-
tion of Mrs. Byrl Fox Backer, as-f

of the clinical laboratory of the Uni-

Miss French Class Secretary
Miss French is serving as freshman
class secretary. She is affiliated with
Kappa Kappa Gamma. Miss Harp
co-captained the Independent wom-
en's swimming team that tied with
Kappa Kappa Gamma for champion-
ship.
Miss Hartwig, a member of Kappa
Alpha Theta, served on the dance
committee of last year's Freshman
Project. She was assistant chairman
of Sophomore Cabaret and is asso-
ciated with the social committee of
the League. She holds an archery]
managership at present.}
This is the first time the Merit
System has been used by W.A.A. and
according to Miss Marie Hartwig,
W.A.A. faculty advisor, it has been
