GROEHN The detailed play-by-play accoun of the Ohio State-Michigan gam shows how completely the Buckeye dominated the play. Capt. FIRST UARTER With Pincura holding the ball George kicked off to Patanelli whc fumbled but recovered on the Michi- gan 35-yard line. Campbell lost twc yards and Remias gained two. Ren- ner's punt was taken by Pincura or the Ohio 17-yard line. McDonal fumbled on a try into the line and Michigan recovered. Campbell lost a yard and a pass to Patanelli was in- complete. Remias tried for a field goal but the kick was short by about five feet, the ball going to Ohio on its 20-yard line. Boucher on a reverse from Wendt was stopped without gain and Heekin then went around end for 26 yards and a first down. McDonald drove through the middle of the line for eight yards and then picked up one more. Heekin sliced off tackle for a first down on the Michigan 42. Mc- Donald gained a yard at tackle and on a long pass from Pincura to Heekin Ohio gained 29 yards. It was first down on the Michigan 13-yard line. McDonald failed to gain and Camp- bell recovered Boucher's fumble on the 10-yard line. Ohio tok time out. Campbell picked up two yards and then hit the line for two more. Ren- ner punted to Pincura on the Ohio 36-yard line who returned it five yards. Pincura passed to Rees for 30 yards and Heekin failed to gain. Bettridge made five and Smithers then intercepted Pincura's pass and ran it back to the Michigan 10-yard line. Campbell hit left tackle for no gain. Renner punted thirty yards to Pincura who was downed after a 10 yard return. Bettridge slashed off tackle for two yards after which an attempted pass to him went over his head. Bet- tridge smashed through Michi- gan's line for a first down on the Wolverine 13. Bettridge dropped a pass from Dye. Heekin drove over right tackle for nine yards. Heekin plunged to Michigan's two yard stripe. Bettridge then carried the ball to the one-half yard line. Heekin crashed through left tackle for the touch- down. Beltz replaced Rees but failed to convert. Score: Ohio 6, Michigan 0. McDonald's first kick-off went outside. His second kick was taken by Renner who returned it to his own 34. Everhardus drove through the center of the line for six ,yards. Dye received Renner's punt on his own 25 yard stripe and sprinted 75 yards down the east sideline for Ohio's second touchdown. Scores Two Touchdowns In Ohio Victory Dick Heekin, yesterday proved to be both a spearhead in the famed Scarlet Scourge's running attark and the pivot man in most of Ohio's bewildering lateral pass plays.. Ileekin twice drove through the valiant Michigan line for touchdowns when it looked as if the vaunted Ohio powerhouse would be stopped on the goal line and put on a brilliant exhibition of open field running in several instances when he ran the Michigan ends. Boucher crashed through for five yards. Boucher added three more. Williams gained a yard. Boucher punted to Barclay who ceught the ball on Michigan's 3x-yard line. Ritchie lost three yards on an at- tempted wide end run. Barclay was stopped for no gain. Campbell kicked to Williams. Pincura forward passed to Wendt who lateraled to McDonald who was finally brought down after making 12 yards. Williams ran to Michigan's 24 before being tackled by Sobsey, as the third quarter ended. FOURTH QUARTER Waslik passed to Busich, who lateralled to McDonald, who lat- craled back to Waslik, who re- ' versed his field and ran 30 yards t for a touchdown. Score: Ohio, 31, Michigan 0. Aug replaced Smithers in the Mich-' igan backfield. Ritchie got up to the 25-yard line. Renner made a yard. Ritchie lost three yards. Renner kicked to Waslik, who brought the' ball back to the Michigan 47-yard stripe. Ritchie tackled Bettridge for a yard loss. Beltz made 15 yards be- fore being stopped by Ritchie. ' Fish recovered a bad toss from center for a loss of 8 yards. Waslik passed to Busich, who was hit by1 Remias after making 5 yards. Ritchie intercepted Waslik's pass.
