NEW NORWICH PRESIDENT * Porter H. Adams was inducted as
the 16th president of Norwich University (Northfield, Vt.) at cere-
monies presided over by Gov. Stanley C. Wilson, of Vermont. Pres.
Adams is a lieutenant commander in the naval reserves.

JAMBOREE QUEEN Marcella Gutz was supreme ruler over the
festivities at the Pep Jamboree held at Iowa State Teachers College
(Cedar Falls, Ia.). Bing Crosby chose her as one of the five most
beautiful women at her alma mater.
