Rubin Subs For Oakley No changes in the squad which met Ohio State on Monday night were announced by Coach Keen ex- cept the substitution of Seymour Ru- bin for Joe Oakley in the 126 lb. class. The loss of Oakley, one of the four letter-men on the squad, through a fractured arm suffered in the Buckeye defeat will be great, but Coach Keen is counting on Rubin, a junior who has been on the squad for two years, to replace him ef- fectively although he has had no varsity experience. Rubin will be opposed by John- son, a sophomore. The Cornell squad is composed of three sophomores and five seniors. In Feature Match The outstanding match of the meet promises to be between Art Mosier, the Wolverine captain, and Morford, in the 155 lb. class. Morford, na- tional A.A.U. champion in his divi- sion has been a consistent point- winner for Dick Barker, the former Wolverine mentor now at Cornell, in their previous matches with Indiana, Des Moines, and Nebraska. Mosier, who has lost one match this s e a s o n, in the Northwestern meet, has been a consistent winner for three years and will be out to trim the champion. Jimmy Landrum, who has had dif- ficulty in making his 118 lb. weight limit, will meet Schaffer, a sopho- more. Freedman will meet West at 135 lbs. and Harrod meets Hill at 145 lbs. In the 165 lb. division Hilt Ponto, who lost his first match of the sea- son against Ohio State, will meet an- other champion, Ellsworth, who was runner-up in last year's national A.A.U. meet. Neafus will meet Os- burn at 175 lbs. In the heavyweight group, John Spoden, the Michigan senior will meet a sophomore, Bunch. Spoden has wrestled in but one meet this year, having lost by a fall in the Buckeye meet. The meet will begin in Yost Field House at 4 p. in. Admission is 25 cents or the student coupon book. Indiana Institutes New Search For Grid Coach Al Plummer, Michigan forward, who has been an in-and-outer so fax this season, will try to bring his play up to his last year's par when he was' one of the best forwards in the Con- ference, tonight in a return engage- ment with Ohio State at Columbus (Continued from Page 1) of the Wolverine ,,attack, his solo dashes down the ice bringing the ca- pacity crowd to its feet on several occasions. Two of Sherf's three goals were the result of these solo dashes as he carried the puck through the entire Badger team to beat Heyer as he tried to turn aside the flying rub- ber. After Billy Southworth, Badger de- fenseman, had scored Wisconsin's second goal midway in the second period, the Michigan defense tighten- ed up, checking the Cardinals before they could get an open shot at the Michigan net. Late in the final period with Chapman and Sherf in the penalty box, the Badgers sent four men down the ice and their attack was too much for the crippled Michigan defense and Quinn beat Jewell for the final score of the game, Lineup and Summary Michigan Pos. BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Feb. 16 - (.P) - Indiana University started a new search for a football coach to- day as a result of Don Peden's deci- sion not to accept the job of suc- cessor to E. C. (Billy) Hayes, who resigned Saturday. Peden, Ohio University coach for the past 10 years, was offered the Indiana job, but could not agree with Indiana officials on the length of contract and salary terms. Z. G. Clevenger, director of ath- letics, said that he had several can- didates u n d e r consideration, and that an early decision would be made to permit the new coach to come here to conduct spring football practice.
