Kahn Beats Tennis Captain In Tourney Howard Kahn, the diminutive sophomore who has dominated the fall tennis program, climaxed his suc- cess this week when he defeated Clint Sandusky, Varsity captain, in the finals of the Campus Invitational Tourney, 6-0, 6-3. Of the 28 com- peting in the Varsity ranking matches now in progress Coach John Johnstone classes Kahn as the "out- standing prospect." Coach Johnlstone has also an- nounced a winter tournament to rank freshman candidates. Freshmen in- terested may sign up at the Intra- mural department or with Doctor May at Waterman Gym. STATISTICS First Quarter There was a slight wind blowing from the Northwest as the two teams took the field. The ground was slight- ly damp, making the footing rather uncertain for the players. Minnesota took the field a few minutes before the Wolverines made their appear- ance. Most of the general admission seats were filled as the game started. The reserved seats on the curve con- tained only a few spectators. Many of the temporary seats on the top of the stadium were filled. Captain Fay of Michigan and Cap- tain Oen of Minnesota met in the center of the field for the toss. Michi- gan won the toss and elected to de- fend the North goal and Minnesota kicked off.
