Prof. Jean E. Ehrhard, of the Ro-
mance Language department, has
accepted a position with the French
Institute of Berlin and will not re-
turn to the University. Professor
Ehrhard was honor man in his class
at the Ecole Normale Superieure and
received this position for that rea-
son, according to Prof. Hugo P.
Thieme, head of the Romance Lan-
guage department.
Prof. Warner F. Patterson will give
a two-hour course of lyric poetry of
the nineteenth century as a result
of the omission of Professor Ehr-
hard's two courses in this field. Next
semester, Professor Thieme will con-
duct a class in nineteenth century
literary criticism.
Archaeological Assistant
Given Position In Athens
Miss Catherine Bunnell, assistant
in the Institute of Archaeological
Research, has recently been appoint-
ed to a position in Athens, Greece.
Miss Bunnell, who worked in numis-
matics last year, will continue her
work here until January.
