At present their primary interest is raising money for the League Undergraduate Campaign Fund and they have been arranging their various activities to this end. Barbara Braun, '33, and Elsie Feldman, '33, presidents for the com- ing year of the two organizations for Senior women, Mortarboard and Sen- ior-Society, have both announced the dealing with the League candy booth for the coming year. Always before the booth has been in charge of the League board of directors and has been attended by anybody wanting to earn League-points in this way. This year, however, only members of the two societies. In addition to the old booth in University Hall they are planning to open them in the larger dormitories. Along with the candy booth project they are considering miniature drug stores to be run under their super- vision in each of the women's houses on campus. Miss Feldman also stated the Sen- ior Society would continue the sale Announce New Lea ojie Dance Arrangeentts Initiation of a new policy for the regular Friday and Saturday night dances at the League has been an- nounced by Jane Fecheimer, '33, chairman of the dance committee. The change will go into effect as soon as the dances start. All entrances to the second floor except the one through the main door will be blocked and tickets will be sold and taken only at that en- trance, thereby avoiding the confu- sion which usually resultstwhen sev- eral entrances are available. All of the street entrances will be open as usual, Two Supper Parties Will Honor Physicians Honoring the visiting physicians who are here to assist the University medical staff d u r i n g Orientation Week, two super parties have been planned. The first one will be a picnic given by the department of physical edu- cation and the medical school on Wednesday. It will be held at Hud- son Corners, a short way up the Hur- on river. I FRESHMEN. Congratulations on your choice of a University. Be just as wise and have your shoes repaired by us. Half soles and rubber heels $1 .00 and up, called for and de- I vered free. Attention fresinen, you want to put your best foot forward during your first week on campus but re- member, your best foot is the most simply shod! Scan your wardrobe for a simple gown and wear it to Dean Bursley's lawn party. A spectator sports dress of sheer wool or a plain silk frock will b just the thing. And if you want to be fussy then look to your accessories: gloves and shoes and hat that claim a close relation and har- monize with the dress- and very, very simple ewelry. Ear rings to be sure, but they must be either button or small drops, a bracelet perhaps, and a necklace if the neck line of your gown is severe. The tea is over and you have made a hit in that newest sports dress. You must keep up that reputation for smart simplicity at the informal dance Friday night. But that won't be hard because you have come with an eye to Friday and Saturday nights at the Union or League, so bring forth from your trunk that little silk' number that you bought fox such oc- casions and the question is settled. Or perhaps you have a Sunday night dress that begs to go, a clinging chiffon or soft velvet. Give it a chance and it will call forth admir- ing glances from all those debonair upper-classmen who have been ad- vising you all week. Again there is the question of ac- cessories. Let your shoes furnish the color for the party and leave your gloves at home. The craze for gloves in the evening, no matter what the occasion, has somewhat worn off and they are being worn for only very, very formal events nowadays. Select from your jewelry box a pair of ear- rings that will play with the lights and brighten up your hair and there you have it, an outfit that is correct and exceedingly attractive. Ohio with 1,710,625 registered mo- tor vehicles stands fourth among the states, Miss Alice C. Lloyd, dean of women, who with her staff will be hostess to the incoming women at an infor- mal dance this Friday in the main ballroom of the League. of white organdie collars to fourth year women for their graduation gowns. Harriet Jennings, '34, president of Wyvern, junior women's honor soci- ety, stated that that group would continue their sale of blue books in the women's houses and dormitories and at the candy booths.
