Daneing Classes
Given At League
Now Under Way
Social dancing ciases at the League,
under the direction of Miss McCor-
mick, are now well under way. The
series of cight Ie.'ons has been di-
vided into two groups, one, on Tues-
day night, for beginners, the other,
on Thursday night, for the more ad-
vanced class.
The classes consist mostly of men
and it is necessary therefore to have
enough girls to go around. To meet
this reQuirement the plan was orig-
inally drawn up so that one soror-
ity or one League group would assist
each night. The classes have grown
to such size that it has become
necessary to call upon several houses.,
Mirss-McCormieck has drawn up a
program of houses and the nights
that they will be expected to lend
their assistance. December 3: League

sororities have already assisted.
League activity points are given for
each hour of participation in these
classes and the League members are
urged to take advantage of this op-
portunity of obtaining points.

At the two meectings hl so Car

transportation plans for Christmas
vacation were discussed. The club is
chartering busses to make the trip
to toston and return for $12. Any
residents of Massachusetts or nearby
states who are interested in going by
bus may obtain information from
Frank Landers, '34, temporary chair-
man of the club..
The next meeting will be held at
4:30 p. m. next Sunday at the
Women's League. All residents of

to attend. There will be election of
offlcers and further notices about bus

Long Sleeves Featured
Now For Formal Wear
By CAROL J. HANAN
With our reputation for conserva-
tism being what it is on this campus,
it will be interesting to see if the
startling new innovations in eve-
ning dress will be taken up or not.
The long sleeved formal, for instance,
would certainly be different and very
effective if one were tall and willowy.
We saw one lovely gown of this type
in black velvet with monk sleeves
that were slit and bordered with sil-
ver sequins. The simple round neck
was bordered with sequins and the
back was slit to the waist.
Fraternity parties this weet-end
on December 2, are: Sigma Phi house-
party, Dec. 2-4, Mr. and Mrs. D.

rnal dinner dance at which the pat-
itorS will be Mr. and Mr: C. . Pryce,
Mr. and Mri H. P. Wagner, and
Mr. and Mrs. Rober; Norris; Alph
Chi Sigma is holding a dance and
the patrons will be Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
ward Tillotson, of Ann Arbor; Phi
Kappa is holding a formal dance
,,ith Dr. and Mrs. John V. Fopeano
as patrons; Sigma Nu is having a
formal dance and the patrons are,
Dr. and Mrs. Failing, Dr. and Mrs.
Carr, and Mr. and Mrs. Dunn.,
Those houses having dances on
Saturday night, December 3, are
