Prof. Brumm Talks At Alpha Nu Initiation Says Present World Is Interested Primarily In Material Affairs Six men were initiated into Alpha Nu of Kappa Phi Sigma Tuesday and were honored at a banquet held Wednesday night in the Union. Prof. John L. Brumm, head of the jour- nalism department, spoke at the dinner. The men initiated are Rowe A. Balmer, '34, Lewis Berry, '36, George J. Mulligan, '35, Arthur L. Shepard, '33, Leslie H. Geisinger, r34, and Paul Cousins, '34. "College students should prepare their program for a better world," Professor Brumm said, "Man now engages in a livelihood for material rewards." He went on to say that the utopian life would have two ends: first, to preserve life; and sec- ond, to perfect life. "What our edu- cation should do," he stated, "is help us develop resources which we would not find in material rewards." The thing that every student should learn in college, according to Professor Brumm, is to use his imagination correctly. COMSTOCK TO SPEAK MUSKEGON, May 18.--(P)-Gov. William A. Funeral Services For Hibben Today Princeton, N. J., May 18.-(P)-Dr. John Grier Hibben, president em- eritus of Princeton University, who was killed in an automobile accident Tuesday, will be buried today in Princeton Cemetery.
