Penny Carnival To Offer Many Varied Booths Special Number, Dancing, Colorful Decorations To Be Features Of Evening The Penny Carnival will offer a greater variety of booths and better facilities for dancing than it has ever been able to give before, Jean Ber-. ridge, '35, general chairman, an- nounced yesterday. Plans are com- plete for its colorful opening at 8 p. m. tomorrow night. According to Marie Metzger, '35, booths will line all sides of the gym- nasium, while the Sarah Caswell Angell Hall upstairs will be used for dancing. Virginia Lee, '35, chairman of decorations, will decorate the hall with gay lanterns and orange blos- soms. She has been assisted by Nancy Johnson, '35, Dorothy Ed- mands, '34, Betty Scherling, '36, Jean Heywood, '35, and Patricia Wood- ward, '35. Barbara Bates, '35, entertainment' chairman, has arranged two feature numbers to be presented during in- termission. Dorothy Dishman, '33, is to give a waltz dance number and one of the trios of the Sophomore Cabaret, composed of Jean Seeley, '36, Ernestine Richter, '36, and Edith Ferrin, '36, will sing. Those who are to attend are urged to bring as much small change as possible as everything may be ob- tained for a small sum, Beatrice De- Vine, '35, finance chairman, stated. Money change booths will be placed at the entrance of the gymnasium and the dance floor where coins may be exchanged for carnival tickets.
