Approximately twenty w o m e n have already begun work, consid-; ering questions which might be used in varsity debates this year. According to the present schedule, Mr. Riley stated, Michigan women's teams will oppose tnose of Indiana a n d Northwestern Universities. Michigan met Indiana in a varsity debate last year but a Northwest- ern women's team is a newcomer to this campus as that debate will be held here. The final decision as to what question will be discussed will not be made known until about the first week in November as each university has the privilege of sub- mitting a question which it would like to debate. From this list t tt final selection is made. Besides the varsity debates op- position is furnished the women's squad by various small colleges in this state. The experience gained in these smaller events is of great value for the major competition. ILLINOIS-(P)--Spanish women have at last been granted suffrage!
