THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1931 No. 10 ' NOTICES Notice: A satisfactory understanding has been reached between the Board in Control of Student Publications and the University Administra- tion regarding the Michigah Daily. The University will supply the mem- bers of the faculty and staff with copies of the Daily as it has heretofore done. All persons who are entitled to receive the Daily are requested to file their applications in the Business Office of the University at an early date. Identification Cards: Students whose names begin with letters A-M may secure their identifidation cards on Thursday, October 8, by calling at Room 4, University Hall, and those whose names begin with letters N-Z may secure their cards on Friday, October 9. To accommodate students whose schedules do not permit them to come during regular office hours, cards will be given out from 12 to 1:30 p. in., and from 5 to 6 p. m., on both Thursday and Friday. NO DUPLICATE CARDS WILL BE ISSUED: Students are reminded that their identification cards nust be presented at the football games and must be surrendered upon withdrawal from the University. J. A. Attention of Freshmen Students: The new students are reminded of the assemblies "How to Study" which will be held on the afternoons of October 8, and 9, in the Natural Science auditorium. In case of conflict between classwork and assemblies, the student will be excused from the classwork. Each student is required to attend only one assem- bly. LECTURlES TODAY University Lectures: The following lectures will be given at 8:30 p. in., in the Lydia Mendelssohn Theater: "The Future of Regional Planning" by Mr. Flavel Shurtleff, the Secretary of the American City Planning Institute. "Execution of Regional Plans' by Professor Thomas H. Reed, of the Department of Political Science. These lectures form part of the program of the Regional meeting of the American Civic Association.4 MEETINGS TODAY University Loan Committee meets at 1:30 p. in., in Room 2, Univer- sity Hall.
