Adelphi House of Representatives will debate Athena on the ques-
tion: Resolved: That Michigan students spend too much of their time
on social, rather than intellectual activities; at 7:45 p. m., in the Adelphi
room, fourth floor, Angell Hall. Other societies and the public are invited.
Athena: 'Ensian picture will be taken at Dey's Studio at 12:40 p. m.
Instead of the regular meeting will members please attend the Athena-
Adelphi debate in the Adelphi room at 7:45 p. m.
Tau Beta Pi meeting at 5:30 in Dey's Studio for picture. Dinner meet-
ing at 6:15, Michigan Union.
Sigma Gamma Epsilon business meeting, 5 p. m., Room 1057 N. S.
International Relations Club meeting at 8:30, Political Science Sem-
inar Roorp. Subject for discussion is the present status in India.
Comedy Club picture for the Michiganensian will be taken at 4
o'clock 4t Dey's. Members be prompt as there will be a short meeting

Christian Science Organization meets in the Chapel of the Michigan
League building at 8 p. tm. All students and faculty interested are in-
vited to attend.
Avukah meeting at 8 p. m. Josephine Stern will present a paper on
Zionism and the American Scene.
Michigan Dames: The Music and Art group will meet at Mrs. G. D.
Hurrell; 1516 East Park Place ,at 8 p. m. The Drama section will meet
at 8 p. m., Michigan League.
COMING EVENTS
Third Lecture of the Cercle Francais: Professor John W. Eaton,
Head of the Department of Germanic Languages, will speak Wednesday,
January 13, at 4:15 in Room 103, Romance Language building. The title
of his lecture will be: "L'Anglais dans la Litterature Francaise du XVIII
siecle." Tickets for the series of lectures cost 50c and can be procured
from the office of the Secretary of the Romance Language Department
or at the door at the time of the lecture.
Third Freshmen Lecture in Hygiene for Men, will be given in the
Waterman gymnasium, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 14 and 15, at 3-4 and

Foresters: The third Assembly of the academic year for students in
the School of Forestry and Conservation will be held Wednesday, Jan.
13, at 9 o'clock in Room 2054, Natural Science building. Professor Raims-
dell will discuss the work conducted under the George Willis Pack
Foundation. All students regularly enrolled in the School are expected
to be present and all pre-forestry students are urged to attend if possible.

Interfraternity Council: Regular meeting will be held Jan. 13, in the W
Council Rooms of the Union at 7:30 p. m. The importance of perfect cf
attendance at this meeting is stressed as important issues will be brought g
forth for discussion and explanation. It is desirable that this meeting T
be attended by all house presidents and chairmen of rushing.
