An insurance company offered a reward of $500 for information leading~ to the recovery of the piece, which is described as an Apulian Skyphos. Mr. O'Onofria said the vase, was registered in the Congressional Li- brary in Washington and had )eon compared withr fragments of Apu- lian pottery and pronounced gen- uine' by, archa.eological experts.
