BONNER ISELCD PHILOLOGICAL HEAD, National Language Society Elects Greek Literature Professor First Vice-President. Prof. Campbell Bonner, of the de- partment of Greek language and literature, was named first vice- president of the American Philo- logical association, it was announc- ed yesterday. The annual meeting of the association was held Dec. 29- 31 at Richmond, Va. Prof. H. A. Sanders, of the same; department, was named a member of the executive committee, a posi- tion held by Professor Bonner prior to being elected a vice-president. Professor Sanders also rea~d a, paper dealing with his recent professor- ship at the American School of Classical Studies in Rome, and also served as chairman of the nominat- ing committee for the Archaeologi- cal institute, which met in joint session with the Philological asso- ciation.
