I THE MICHIGAN DAILY , THE MICHIGAN DAILY ETBALL CARD Leagues for Independents Fraternity Men Will Be Formed. and Basketball is the main event left on the Intramural sports card for the winter and it will break forth in full blast the first Wednesday af- ter the holidays. Entries are being made now and should all be in by Friday in ,order that the staff may draw up all the cards during the holidays. Fraternity, Independent, and the new All-Campus meets will be rni off this year and last year's mark of 205 organized teams entered is expected to be passed. The only new rule this season will be the current forfeit fee required of every team entering any event this year. "A," "B," and "C" teams may be entered in their respective league for fraternity play as usual and the houses have been given a choice of two afternoon and five evening hours for play. The past rule of progression from "C" to "B2" and from B to "A" teams but not back again will be followed. After the meet is started abso- lutely no postponements will be allowed and there will be but ten. minutes grace before a forfeiture is called on any one match. Each team should furnish a timer and a scorer to aid the officials of the Department. Failure to do this is liable to hold up a game and get the evening's schedule out of line. While Varsity a n d freshmanj squad men are ineligible for those teams, a student who has received an aMa or All-Frosh award may play on the A squads, though not on class "B" and "C" teams. Other- wise eligibility is limited only by the usual health cards, which if turned in for previous sports stand all right for basketball.
