Coach Ed Lowrey's hockey team will open the regular ice season te- night against the Chatham puck chasers of Ontario in the Michigan Coliseum. The game will start at 8:00 o'clock. New student prices of 35 cents will admit all undergrad- uates with identification cards. The Wolverine sextet have two pre-season games behind them, a tie with Haley A. C. of Detroit and an overwhelming 8-1 victory over Plym6uth, while Chatham lost their first practice game to Windsor Mic Macs 1-0. - Won Last Year. Last year Michigan emerged the victor 3-1, but the vistors tonight will present a vastly improved puck team over their squad of last sea- son. Michigan's team was the Big Ten championship winner 1 a s t year while the Wolverines of 1931 have yet to hit their mid-season smoothness. Porte has an even chance to replace McCal- lum as the right defense for Mich- igan. Coach Lowrey was pleased with the former's exhibition against Plymouth Saturday night and may give him the call over the red- headed defenseman. Peardon Stars as Goalie. Chatham will present a goalie in Peardon that rivals Captain Tomp- kins in efficiency. Peardon's great saves featured their pre-season game and Coach Lowrey has given his forwards special drills in evad- ing the Ontario ace. Kieth Crossman and 'Emmy' Reid form -one of the best passing com- binations that Michigan has offer- ed in the last three years. WRESTLING -MATCH TO -BE HELD TODAY Inter-Fraternity Carded by Depart Competition Is Intramural tment. Entries for the Inter-fraternity wrestling tournament to be held from 7:00 o'clock to 10:00 o'clock this eyening will close at 5:30 this afternoon. This time is also the deadline on weighing-in for these bouts. The official weighing-in starts at three o'clock in the after- noon, arnd may be done at either Waterman gymnasium or the In- tramural building. Phi Beta Delta, winner of the tourney for the last two years has entered a team this year. No let- termen or winners of class numer- als in the sport are eligible to com- pete. The prelininary bouts, to be held tonight, wig each last five minutes, with two minutes over- time in case of 'a draw. Thirty seconds advantage in these bouts will constitute a decision, and but three pounds overweight will be allowed\ for each weight class. No champions will be awarded un- less there are at least three en- trants in a class. Two men must be entered in or- der that a fraternity may be award- ed entrance points.
