Diskerson, sports promoter of Grand Rapids, announced today that he and other interests here are negotiating for purchase of the American Association franchise of the Toledo Baseball club. Dickerson said the Grand Rapids group would not be interested in joining the re- organized Central Baseball League. Although several other groups are bidding for the Toledo fran- chise, Dickerson said he-was hope- ful of obtaining it for this city. The club would be brought to ,Grand Rapids if he is successful in negotiating the purchase, said Dick- erson, who is a former president of the Western League and an old time ball player.
