The sudden arrival of the long- forecast cold wave has placed the possibility of outdoor -ecreation at a minimum. Many long drawn out card games are in prospect. Some students may even take advantage of the situation to brush up on their studies. Of course, the most important event on any Thanksgiving sched- ule is dinner. Local restaurants and hash houses have prepared special turkey, chicken, duck, goose and roast pig dinners. The Allenel hotel is offering the entire pro- ceeds of today's dinner to the city charity fund. Football fans will have an op portunity of witnessing two very interesting contests. Ann Arbor High school will clash with its tra- ditional rival, Jackson at two o'clock at Ferry Field. St. Thomas High will bring a successful season to a close against a strong Alumni team, this morning at Wines Field.
