TORONTO, Ont., Nov. 13.-(IP)- The red coat of a royal Canadian mounted policeman was an ironic symbol to eight followers of the Red flag who faced sentence today as members of an unlawful asso- ciation and parties to a seditious conspiracy. They were convicted Thursday largely upon the testimony of Sgt. John Leopold, who doffed his red coat seven years ago to sit in the councils of Canadian Communists and rise to an official in the organ- ization as "Comrade E. W. Essel- wain." The men convicted are Tim Buck, Tom Ewen, John Buychuk, Amos T. Hill, Malcolm L. Bruce, Samuel Cohen, Matthew Popovitch and Thomas Cacie. Revolution in El Ora Draws Ecuador Troops GUAYAQUIL, -Ecuador, Nov. 13.- (A)-The province of El Oro, home of former President Larrea Alba, was in revolt today and a detach- ment of troops was being sent from here to put it down.
