The Ramblers of Notre Dame continued on their unbeaten way last Saturday to topple the power- ful line of Carnegie Tech and push over three touchdowns for a 19-0 win to remain as one of the Mid- west's outstanding elevens along with the Northwestern Wildcats. Both teams are practically certain of completing their schedules with- out a loss as the Wildcats have only Minnesota to worry them next week-end while the Irish are on the books to trample over Pennsyl- vania's unbeaten gridders. Out in the East, Dartmouth and Yale ground each other into the dust of the gridiron all in vain ex- cept for' the fact that the two can claim the highest score ever rui! up in a tie game, 33-33. Albie Booth had another big day, but the flashy comeback of Bill McCall of Muske- gon, Mich., who took the oval over for three touchdowns to prevent a Yale win. Harvard ran up its series of wins to five by taking a green Virginia eleven into camp, 19-0. Columbia seemed a bit surprised when Cor- nell upset the dope for a 13-0 win. West Virginia Wesleyan also upset the Navy craft a bit by holding it in check for a scoreless tie. In the south, Georgia still re- mains in the unbeaten class by vir- tue of a win over Florida, 33-6. Southern Methodist is also in this restricted rating by successfully hurdling a brilliant Texas aggrega- tion by a meager majority of two points,-9-7. Stanford remains the outstand- ing team in the West and has yet to be beaten, scoring, its fifth win over U. C. L. A., 12-6 last Saturday. Washington State had a close one in taking over Oregon State by a lone point after touchdown, 7-6. California had an easy time beat- ing the Nevada eleven, 25-6.
