Chuck Kosis won the medal honors of the day with a 76 in addition to trouncing Cap- tain Jack Lenfesty of the Varsity for three points. The personnel of the Varsity squad was weakened for the match- ls, as many of the regtilars were attending the Princeton killing. When the players first started to come in the Varsity held the fresh- men but with more complete re- turns the yeariings went way ahead. Chuck Kiocsis Wins. Captain Kocsis of the first-year men won one point on the first nine play and added two more by winning the second nine and the total from Captain Jack Len festy.' Neahr won three more points for the yearlings in the second match, .defeating Menefee. But Schloss, playing for the reg- ulars, ran up 2/ points, the first. reported as McPherson ofthe freshmen tied one nine and won 4 point. Jolly, letterman of last >season's Varsity, was put down the st to play Markham-and won three More scores for the Varsity bring- ing the team score to 51/2 to 6 for the first-year squad. Seely eats Rollins. Later Seely registered three more points for the freshmen as he de- cisively defeated Rollins. This re- sult clinched the match for the winners but Heisser ran up a:2 to 1 score on Bereglin of the first team. Coach Trueblood was disappoint- ed that more letterwinners were not present but he was highly rat- ified with the team-strength of the freshmen. These matches close the season play as far as tournaments are concerned but Trueblood ex- pects that the golfers will continue playing until the snow flies.
