MEN TO KEEP REGALIA ! Commutation for R. O. T. C. uni-I forms has been increased, Major< Basil D. Edwards, of the militaryc science departmept, reported yes- terday. This arrangement will en- able all basic and advanced stu- dents in the corps to obtain their complete uniforms without any cost to themselves. The deposit of $12.50 which the student makes before be- ginning the basic or advanced course will be entirely refunded at the end of two years. The student will also be allowed to keep the uni- form which has been issued to him. Those in the advanced course willr receive puttees, breeches, blouse, Sam Brown belt, and garrison cap, all of which are patterned after the' regular army officers uniform. This year all advanced students will wear puttees; juniors will wear the Sam Brown belt without the strap, sen- iors the entire Sam Brown belt. Freshmen and sophomores will wear the long trousers as in the past. The brown shoes which are being issued to all members this year will, have rubber soles and heels for use in Waterman gymnasium. Measure-I ments for uniforms and shoes will be taken next Monday and Tuesday. UNIVERSITY PLANS, CHAIN BROADCAST Will Present Michigan Night' Over National hook-up. Plans for a Michigan night over the national radio hook-up sys- tems have been announced for Oe- tober 20. Material for the program was sent to headquarters of the ra- dio company recently and although no complete selection of numbers has been made, as yet, the "Victors" and "Varsity" will definitely be in- cluded on the program. Music, talks, and general information concern- ing the University will conclude the evening's broadcast. The time of broadcasting the event has not been settled although it is thought that the program will begin at 8 o'clock eastern standard time. Announcements of the entire program will be issued within a week. Greeley to Address Proseminar Tonight. Announcement was made yester- day by Dr. Carl Hubbs, Curator of Fishes of the University Museum of Zoology, that the first fish and fisheries proseminar of the semester will be held at 7:30 tonight in room 1037, University Museums building.
