University Lecture: Dr. Arthur A. Allen, Professor of Ornithology in Cornell University, will lecture on "The Courtship and Home Life of Birds" (illustrated with lantern slides) in the Natural Science auditori- um, Thursday afternoon, December 11, at 4:15. The public is invited tc attend. University Loan Committee: The University Loan Committee will meet on Monday, December 3, at 1:30 p. in., in Room 2, University Hall. Undergraduates Who Plan to Study for the Ministry: The Society for Promoting Theological Education holds a scholarship fund avail- able for the properly prepared men of any Protestant denomination who plan to study for the ministry. The only condition attached to these scholarships is that the student should study at the Theological School in Harvard University . If you are interested, please send your name to the Student Christian Association. Insurance Requirements for Automobile Permits: The attention of students holding Automobile Permits is called to the fact that these permits expire on December 19, 1930. No new permits will be granted on and after January 5, 1931, unless the applications are accompanied by evidence of insurance covering public liability and property damage. The insurance provided should not be less than $1,000 for property damage and $5,000 and $10,000 limits for public liability. No suggestion is made with regard to the companies writing such insurance. Ann Arbor students who are driving cars registered in their parents' names, and other students who are driving for Ann Arbor residents, may bring brief statements from their parents or the owners of the cars to the effect that their cars are properly insured as indicated above. Other students are requested to present their insurance policies, club membership cards, or similar evidence of such insurance. Students who anticipate applying for a renewal of their driving privileges are urged to obtain their 1931 state license plates and to file their applications before the Christmas vacation period. The new appli- cations and cards are now available at the Office of the Dean of Stu- dents, Room 2, University Hall. By - co-operating in this manner they will be able to obtain their student permit tags no later than Monday, January 5. It is requested, how- ever, that the students possessingA permits for the balance of the cur- rent year refrain from attaching their 1931 license plates until Sat- urday, December 20, 1930. In the, event of the purchase of a new car, the 1930 student tags may be attached to the 1931 license plates and used until December 20, 1930. W. B.
