WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1930 THE MICHIGAN DAILY PAGE SEVEN a~v~4 MAT EN TO STACE Fifth Annual University Tourney to Begin December 16 With Record Entry List. NOT OPEN TO VARSITY Proof that interest in wrestling here is enjoying a steady increaseI is demonstrated by this year's en-' try list in the All-Campus tourna-; ment which over a 100 men have signified their intention of enter- ing. When the meet was inaugu- rated five years ago only 25 or 30 grapplers composed the entry list, but every year since then has shown an increased number of contestants with this season mark- ing the high point so far. The All-Campus wrestling tour- nament is open to all students ex- cept those that have won a Varsity letter. It furnishes an especially fine opportunity for freshmen to display their wares, and attract at- tention. The winners in each of the eight classes will receive gold medals emblematic of the Univer- sity championship. Weigh In Monday. As usual the meet will be under the direct supervision of uhe In- tramural department, and will be conducted in the Intramural build- ing. The contestants will weigh in Monday, December 15 with the tourney scheduled to get under way at 4:00 o'clock the next day. But two pounds overweight will be al- lowed in each class with matches carded to be held in the 120, 128, 137, 147, 157, 167, 177 lbs., and un- limited classes. 'iWULATIONS OF THE MICHIGAN IE RINK.
