Fisher put his charges through a lengthy drill on blocking yester-I day, and topped off the workout with a snappy signal drill in which all the plays were gone through. The yearlings plan to use a com- bination of the formations that they have been learning all year to show the varsity, and some' plays given them especially for this game. Passing and running will play an equally important role in the first year men's attack and the one will be stressed with which they have the most success in to- day's tilt. Yearling Lineup Remains Same. Included in the announced line- up are the same players that have performed as Fisher's first string set all year. Stone and Wistert will hold down the flank positions with Austin and Cantril being placed in the tackle posts. The latter duo has been the outstanding place of strength in the yearling forward wall all season and are being hea- vily counted upon to stop the off- tackle thrusts of the Physical Eds. Conover and Emling will be the guards on either side of big Bern- ard, the pivot man. This trio pro- mises to offer strong resistance to plays directed through the center of the line as they have been show- ing good form continually. Stine- spring will call signals from the quarterback post. Although rather small t he freshman quarter has shown himself adept in handling the safety position on defense, and at the same time uses excellent judgment in calling plays or offense. Backfield Compound of Stars. Renner, Everhardus, and Ratter- man will round out the backfielc quartet, and will furnishpower, deception,, and :speed which will test the Physical Ed. team. All are good ball-carriers, and in additior Renner and Everhardus are cap- able punters. Everhardus and Stine- spring will take care of the passing game with any of the backs oz ends being capable of handling th( receiving end. The Physical Ed. lineup will con- sist of Smith and Petoskey at ends Oakes and Chapman at tackles Kowalak at the pivot position, anc Rock, Heston, Krause, and Fay it the backfield. The occupants of the guard posts have not yet been de. cided. Petoskey, Fay, Chapman anc Rock are listed as the stars of thi outfit, and figure to provide th4 yearlings with plenty of opposition There will be a meeting of all candidates for the hockey team on Friday night at 7:30 in the Union, which all those interested in try- ing out for the squad should at- tend.
