Questb3nnaire analysis where counts of various types of responses are desired and particularly where counts of items by specified cate- gories are wanted. 2. Item analysis of test questions where calculation of biserial 'rY' is desired, or the mean scores of individuals who make variious responses to single questions. 3. Calculation of correlations involving several variables. 4. Calculation of correlations based on large populations. = 5. Calculation of statistical co-efficients from populations which have been cross classified. The Deans of all Colleges and Schools involved have authorized absence from other classes during the period indicated. University Senate: There will be a meeting of the University Senate on Monday, November 10, at 4:15 p.m., in Room C of the Law Building. Louis A. Hopkins, Secretary. University Women, Social Directors, Chaperons, and Househeads: Request for extension of time beyond the regular closing hours on Fri- day, Saturday, and Sunday nights for engagements in Ann Arbor must be made in the office of the Dean of Women. This does not apply to overnight permission. Girls wishing extension of time for the Union party on Friday, No- vember 7, are asked to come to the office before 5 p.m. of that day. Alice C. Students, Colleges of Engineering and Architecture: Saturday, No-. vember 8, 1930, will be the final day for dropping a course without record. Courses may be dropped only with the permission of the classifier after3 conference with the instructor in the course. However, in special cases, for good and valid reasons permission to drop a course may be given after this date. Dr. Margaret Bell probably will not be in her medical office today.
