Junior 'B' TEAN, M B~UIgS IN 1 Courtright Stresses B1o c kin g in Front of Bal Toter n jayvees Drill. KEEN WORKS WITH LINE In preparation for Saturday's en- counter with the Illini Coach Court- right yesterday sent his charges through a fairly hard workout, drilling them on running plays and. in the art of charging. The same men who saw service in 1 a s t week's game with the Ohio Juniors worked together on the of- fensive side, with Coach Courtright giving them the plays to use. Brown was doing a good share of the ball-' toting in scrimmage, with Lindsey at the quarterback post. Coombe and Berkowitz were the other mem- bers of the backfield combination.; Stress Interference. In running through the plays, the coaches laid considerable stress on interference, and they were quite successful in their attempt to form a °Ood defense for the ball carrier, with Lindsey, Coombe, and Berko- witz taing out the opposition for the runner. Coach Keen worked with the line and had ;practically the same men in the offensive forward wall that have been there all season. Unger and Jordan performed well at the guard and tackle positions. Courtright spent consierable time in drilling Markley on charg- ing, and it looks as if he would see service in Saturday's game. With the added attention given to many of the substitutes, the strength of the Wolverine Bees should be great- ly increased. It looks highly proba- ble that many of the reserve men will be used in the coming contest with the Indians to add fresh im- petus to the Wolves as the men on the field become tired. Illini Jayvees Strong. A large number of men will be taken on the trip to Urbana this week-end when the Michigan Jay- vees will do battle With the strong Illinois eleven. A very hard contest is anticipated as the Indians have downed Indiana's Junior Varsity by a score of 12-7. As a comparison of the scores by which the Wolverines and the Indians won over the In- diana team the two elevens are pretty evenly matched. The Maize and Blue defeated the Hoosiers, 10-7. The journey to Illinois is the' longest one on this year's schedule for the Michigan Bees.
