Police Arrest Negro;
Sentenced to 30 Days"
Police yesterday arrested Frank
Burfitt, a vagrant Negro who gave
no home address, after complaints
had been turned in at police head-
quarters regarding theft of money
from milk bottles. Burfitt was ar-
raigned before Justice Jay H. Payne,
who sentenced him to 30 days in
county jail.
Unable to Give Bond,
Detroit Driver Jailed
Arrested Monday on a charge of
reckless driving, Nick Papathera-
poulos, of Detroit, demanded an ex-
amination. Unable to furnish a
bond of $3,000, he was sent to Jail
Yesterday he was named defendant
in a $35,000 damage suit.

day, two persons charged with vio-

held for court.
Jack Mangan, Dearborn, and Gil-

held in the county jail on default
of $2,00 bond.
Raymond B. Waidner, Ardmore,
Tex., arrested last Saturday on
Washtenaw avenue, was fined $100
and costs and sentenced to 15 days
in jail for driving drunk.
