Inter-class boxing finals furnish- ed plenty of action for the 1,500 people that attended the Intra- mural Open House program last night. All of the bouts were good and made the awarding of the tro- phies interesting. J. O. Kirby (Soph) defeated L. Laser in three rounds, the first of which was Laser's by a wide mar- gin. The other two went to Kirby, however, and with them the title. Dave Golden (Sr) and Jack Ralston put on one of the fastest bouts of the evening. First place honors in the all- campus gymnastic tournament that was part of the Open House sched- ule of events last night was won by Raenber with a total of . 375.4 points. Ponto placed second with 281.3 points, while Menton and Banch were third and fourth with 221.7 and 205.5 points respectively. Raenber won the horizontal bar event followed by Banch, second, Menton, third, and Ponto, fourth. Points ranged from 79 to 63.2. In the side horse competition Raenber won again, and Paull was second. Ponto placed third and was trailed by Solomon for fourth place honors. The flying rings events went to Banch with Raenber coming sec- ond. Kelley placed third and De Ritron was the fourth place man. Raenber came to the fore again in the parallel bars followed by Ponto for second. Menton, De Ritron and Kelly were third, fourth, and fifth respectively. The remaining event of competition on the mats was carried by Ponto. Menton took sec- ond honors and Banch and Raenber followed as third and fourth men. in the extra session.
