Michigan's Varsity tennis team will invade Chicago today for the Big Ten Tennis meet that will be held today and tomorrow. As a result of the team's good showing in winding up the dual meet sea-1 son in first place with only one defeat against it, the Wolverine team will be included among the favorites to walk off with the title. Competition at Chicago, however, will be much stronger than the Wolverines have faced at any prev- ious time this year, several stars on the various Big Ten teams making it difficult for the Maize and blue to cop first places even if the team as a whole plays good tennis. Illi- nois should be the chief threat to the Wolverines, although Chicago also has a team that may cause considerable trouble. Wildcats Not So Strong. + Northwestern was the only teamj throughout the year that was able to defeat the Wolverines during the dual meet season, but since thatI date the play of the ,Wildcats has' fallen off to a great extent. In- cluded among the teams that havei bowed to Michigan so far this year are Illinois, Chicago, Ohio State,1 Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Included in the Michigan dele- gation will be Captain Hammer,; Brace, Ryan, Rollin Clark, Roberti Clarke, and Beal. These men have borne the brunt of the Wolverine attack all through the campaign and are the best bets to win places for the Michigan team at Chicago.
