Hedges, the umpire, received~
an unexpected upset wrhen onej
of the Ilawkeyes spilled him in
attempting to break up a Wol-
Iverine play in the third. per-
iod. The officials must have
been surprised when L. Jensvold
replaced L. Jensvold in the
Iowa lineup. However this.
paradox is explainable, as Leo
went, in for his brother, Lloyd,
both of whom are halfbacks.
Trickey, a sub Iowa end,. didl
not live up to his name during
his brief_ appearance.
Jim SimraUl, the 1930 captain-
elect, developed into quite a, cap-
able open field runer during the!

In the closing gamnes, of the
season, Norm Daniels devclopd
into quite a utility man on the
team. He was used in the back-
field, starting in the Harvard,
gauze, and was instrumental in
breaking up Minnesota's aerial
attack. In the Iowa game,
Daniels replaced Hewitt at. end,
and was, on the receiving end
of a short pass from Trusko-w-
ski. When Cornwell went in for
Gembis, Daniels shifted to a
halfback post. He's a valua.ble
man to have around. Nagu rski
of Minnesota, alternated be-
tween tackle. ande fullback, this
season, Spears using; him to,
bolster the weak Gopher line.

decided at the meeting of Western
Conference athletic heads on De-
cember 7 whether or not the Hawk-
eyes are in or out, the schedules of
the basketball teams will not be ar-
ranged.,
Iowa Holds Up Plans.
}If Iowa remains in the Confer-1
ence, the Wolverine games will be
quickly determined, However, if
Iowa is not reinstated, there will3
have to be some sort of a read-
