They may not all be selected for the trip but here are the five on the squad: Gunnar C. Carlson and Carl W. Carlmark, Moline, Joseph E. Golden, Peoria, Clark N. Piper, Paris, and Aaron M. Lazar, Chica- go. Carlmark and Piper, the former an end and the latter a fullback, both received their letters last year. Carlson was on the squad last sea- son but did not win 'a. letter and Golden and Lazar arc first year men on the team. Carlson and Golden are backs and Lazar is a center. When the Army leaves the hill- encircled plain of West Point for the Illinois 'game, regulations and a stern disciplinary code will pre- vent the corps of cadets, (Kay-dets is the way they pronounce it) giv- ing it a rousin~g send-~off. During the school year, September 1 to June 1, academic studies and mili- tary drills are scheduled so that cadets have less than two hours a day of comparative freedom except on Saturdays and Sundays. On the last practice day the ca- dets will assemble around the gym- ?
