ard won the all-campus champion-
ship in this weight, but Kailes has
been giving him stiff competition
for the place in the starting lineup.
Kelly, all-campus 145-pound
champion, will probably get the
call Friday, although Benz, who
was defeated in the finals, has
been showing great improvement
since his start in the sport and
may see action before the season
is over.

dazzling play through to the finish,
Steve Jones met and defeated Joe
Navarre in the final round of the
all-campus handball singles tour-
ney.
While Navarre put up a stubborn
defense throughout the match, he
was beaten in two -straight sets
being unable to cope with the fast
driving game of his opponent.
Both men had fought their way
down through a large field of 64
entrants, and now that they have
met to decide which is the campus'
best, they now plan to combine
their efforts and enter the all-
campus doubles tournament as
partners.
Some 52 teams started in the
original draw and those who have
escaped elimination so far, met
last night in the semi-finals.

Don'ahoe To Wrestle
Tonight In Detroit I
Harold Donahoe, who won two
Big Ten championships while com-
peting for Michigan, will wrestle ,
his first professional bout tonight
when he meets Brown, Detroit mid-
dleweight, in the semi-final to the
Art Perkins-Ali Hansen welter-
weight title match at Amaranth
Hall, Detroit.
Donahoe started his collegiate
mat career as a sophomore in 1926,,
going through the dual meet sea-
son without adefeat and annexing
the 15-pound Big Ten title in the
individual tournament. He was
elected to captain the Wolverine
squad in his junior year, 1927, and
4equalled his former record, finish-
ing the season without a loss andI
retaining his Conference chain-
pionship. Last season Donahoe was
again victorious in all his dual
meet bouts, though often going out
of his class to wrestle in the 175-
pound division, but lost his Con-
ference championship after an,
overtime bout. Donahoe is now'
eor.ching the "B" wrestling team
here.
Russell Sauer, another Michigan
Conference champion, will meet
Howell in an earlier bout on the
same card. Sauer was undefeated
in 1927, winning the Big Ten 145-
pound title, and did not lose a dual
meet match last year.
