Mitchell, director of the Intramural department. Installation of the athletic ap- paratus, office equipment and the like, throughout the building will take about a week, according to the intramural director. For this rea- son, the gymnasium and the other rooms will not be available for about ten days. The lockers and showers will be ready for use by the middle of this week, from the reports of the contractors. Sophomore physical education work, which will probably be re- quired next year, will be conducted in this building. The second year men will be able to select the sport in which they wish to specialize, but will ,have to keep regular at- tendance. x b FORESTERS PLAN ALUMNI REUNION Plans are being completed for the first Reunion of the Forestry School Alumni to be held October 26 and 27 in Ann Arbor, according to E. V. Jotter, chairman of the committee. The reunion will bring together alumni scattered all over the United States in federal and state forest reserves, its purpose being to more closely connect the alumni with tke activites of the Foi'estry school. Friday, October 26 will consist of meetings at the Union, a lunch, and afternoon to be spent at the Saginaw forest, out Liberty street. On Saturday they will attend the Michigan-Wisconsin game. Carrothers, who recently resigned his post as dean of Rollins College at Winter Park, Florida, has been appointed high schoolinspector forpthepUniversity of Michigan and associate profes- sor of secondary education, it was, announced yesterday. Dr. Carrothers succeeds Mr. A. W. Clevenger who resigned in June to accept an appointment as director of the division of inspection at thel University of Illinois.
