Universities of Illinois and Wis-' consin Take to Small Brim and Crown Wool Felt Ann Arbor, Nov. 16.-A new Scollege style, no older than a week, which is already spreading like wild-fire on the campuses of the Middle Western universities is the fCampus "Crusher" hat. The hat, made of wool felt, has a °small crown and brim which fits! 1 closely over the head. It has ap- peared in three colors: pearl gray, tan and black. The gray colored! hats are the most popular. Possibly one of the reasons for the hat's popularity is the fact that it retails for $1.50. It folds up without crushing and looks "collegiate." The brim meas- ures two and an eighth inches. The! band is only a quarter of an inch wide. The hat is being widely worn during week days on the campus. The clothing shops on the cam- puses at the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin in- troduced the hat last week. Hun-! dreds of the hats are now being worn on both campuses. Learning I of the' hat, merchants of the other Middle Western campuses have al- ready stocked the hat and have written that unusual numbers were sold during the first day of' their introduction.
