To the Great Christy Mathewson-This beautiful gate at the entrance to Bucknell University's
stadium will ever be a memorial to the sterling athlete who always gave his best. It was erected by
organized baseball and dedicated as a memorial to Mathewson last June. It is a fitting tribute to a
man whose magnanimity in both triumph and disaster has given a deeper significance to athletic
endeavor.
