Some of thes shots in "For- gotten Faces" look as though they i were taken from a wagon with square wheels or with the camera suspended from a crane run by a slightly inebriated operator. It's an effective device this moving the camera about, bu unless it is smooth it causes considerable eye- strain and produces a great amount of apathy. Clive Brook makes "Forgotten Faces" a pretty good picture in spite of "get in at the middle and guess it" plot and the large amount of hokum. The director. knew when to end the picture, a thing that is most refreshing to see in these days of "happy ending or bust epics." William Powell, as Brook's side-kick is a more likeable villian this time, andBaclanova flitters about like a cat illustrating passion and hate in rapid succession quite effectively. Altogether, this picture can be called exciting, and if you can over- look some of the melodramatic hooey that is hauled in at diverse moments you will probably enjoy it. The stage act, a crooning quartet, is nothing that we can conivincing- ly recommend to anyone seeking entertainment, but it does fill out the bill and kill time in case you drop in for that purpose. Their rendition on "Nola" was well done bue we spent the rest of our time watching a young lady across the aisle struggle valiantly but in vain with a garment that would not stay put. G. Gentlemen: Speaking of champion long-time members of the EDGE WORTH Club, say:-it isn't how long you have smoked Edgeworth, it's how well you have en- joyed the smoke. Why, I have walked out of many a store, especially when traveling, to stop at some one-horse town and buy Edgeworth. A good pipe deserves Edgeworth, and Edgeworth mine gets. I would not insult it with any other. "The familiar blue cans are every- where," and usually you find men of taste carrying them, which proves it is not the price that deternines a good "smoky" tobacco, but the care and method that produce it. I would rather go days without Edgeworth and at the end draw a deep inhale of that cool "smelly" aroma, satisfying to the last puff, than punish my t'hroat and lungs and nostrils with inferior grades. Edgeworth is "The Smoke With a ' Personality," like an old friend, you learn to know and understand, and when troubled or when you have a "thinky" problem-you seek its sol- ace and companionship. Very truly yours, (signed) E. H.
