While the Purple exhibited the usual early season tendancy for fumbling, there were signs of po- tential power in the performance of several ball carriers. The line bore up well under the hammering of the Butler attack but what it will be able to do against the ponderous Ohio smashesc is .much in doubt. Out side of the first string forwards Coach IianlEyi has little in the way of capable-liniemen.
