Taking the morning singles by a wide margin of 11 to 1, the Varsity golfers allowed only 1 point to the Buckeyes, Ward tied one game with Captain Loop to loose a half point and Ahlstrom dropped a half point to Petuska by a tie in the second nine. However, Dave Ward had Loop 5 up by winning 5 straightf holes and left 4 to go, but was forced to stay out of the foursomes in the afternoon and .Livingstonj took his place. Bergelin Beats Shannon Captain Bergelin took an easy game from Shannon by winning all 3 points with 3 up and 2 to go inj the match suare. Jim Lewis turned in the same score when he was matched against Wilson, but thisj match turned out to be a little closer with 2 up and 1 to go. In the afternoon when the four- somes were played, Coach True- blood moved Lewis up into second position to be paired with Berge- lin and substituted Livingston for Lewis. Lewis and Bergelin drop- ped all 3 points to Loop and Wil- son in the foursomes and Ahlstrom being paired with Livingston lost the second nine to Shannon and Petuska to annex 2 points.
