Hass of Minnesota took four firsts to lead in the individual point scor- ing. He negotiated the 100 yard dash in the amazing time of :09.8, a mark which few Varsity men can equaL. Hass also took the 220 yard low' hurdlesg, covering the distance in :25.1, and tied for first in the 220 yard dash in :22.4. Just to show. his versatility, he won the broad, Jump by a leap of, 21, feet, 6 inches. Minnesota also uncovered a star in the field events' in Munn. He was scarcely less effective against the Wolves than was his team- mate' Hass: He annexed.. the shot put with a, heave of.,48% feet, the discus. with a. throw of 123.6, and the javelin with a, distance of 173 feet. Each team took eight firsts, seven of Minnesota's being credited to Hass and' Munn, while the other was he elay. Michigan's eight first were divided among eight men, which augers well for the all round strength of the team.
