Beautifully furnished rooms and halls, well equipped service depart- ments, excellent facilities of mod- ern type and construction, and properly chosen accoutrements from the basement to the fourth floor . feature the interior of the new Women's League building which will be seen by many inter- ested groups for the first time to- day. Inspection of the building earlier in the week revealed that every de- tail throughout the structure had received special attention by those in charge with the result that the completeness, the taste in furnish- ings, and the adequacy of the va- rious facilities can not Out impress the visitor to the new home of the Women's League. Has Spacious Lobby Two reception rooms form the first view upon entering the build- ing from the main entrance on In- galls street. A spacious main lobby, with numerous comfortable chairs, occupies the space immediately in front of the doorway. The floor is of stone and inlaid tile in a neat design. Opposite the lobby is the information desk. .To the right, along a hall in which commodious lounging chairs are placed at intervals, will be found the entrance to a modern, up-to-date beauty parlor under the direction of a competent expert. Specially constructed barber chairs with black patent leather backs and green trimming, all harmoniz- ing with the general make-up of the room, are striking points of in- terest. Next to the beauty parlor isa the tea room, which will be brought into use with the Mortarboard ini- tiation breakfast in the near fu-1 ture. Brilliantly colored tilesofd purple, black, yellow, red, and green hues form the floor, har- j monizing with curtains of an ap- propriate design. Opposite the tea room, the vis- itor will find the as yet un-named cafeteria and the kitchen which will prepare food for more than 400 pacity. A partition between the serving line and the tables renders gui the diners in the room free from e 1 noisy clattering of dishes on the other side of the cafeteria. At the opposite end of the hall is situated the chapel shown in one of the pictures on this page. Fine oak panels and an altar of splendid appearance lend an atmosphere of quietude to this unusual room. The remaining space on the first floor / is occupied by the office of the gen- _ / eral manager, Mrs. Z. B. Bowles, the alumnae council offices, the W. A. Room Panelled In Walnut The main concourse for both mens and women occupies the central er position at the head of the stairs on the second floor. Here, too, areI found innumerable chairs, couches, chaise-longues, love seats, and odd pieces to invite visitors to tarry. ,Outstanding among the rooms done in "grand style" is the Ethel Foun- tain Hussey room in solid black walnut.
