Buildings and Grounds Department, nccesary because of the State Fire

Art Exhibition; Architectural Building:
Forty-one lithographs showing picturesque New York, by Verion
Iowe Bailey, are now on view in the Architectural Building, ground floor
corridor. They will be on exhibition until the end of the month and
can be seen daily from 9:00 to 5:00 o'clock excepting Sundays. The
public is cordially invited.

American Chemical Society:
Dr. Edgar C. Britton of the research laboratory of the Dow Chemi-
cal Company will lectu-e before the local section on Friday, April 19.
at 4:15 p. m. in room 165 Chemistry Building. His topic will be: "The
Dow Chemical Company." The lecture is open to the public.
Members of the local section are advised that the identification cer-
tificates for use in securing reduced rates on the round trip railroad
fare to the Columbus meeting-April 29 to May 3-can be obtained from

Moving Picture:
Dr. Robert J. Ruth, Chief of the Pharmaceutical Division of the
E. R. Squibb & Sons Company. will show a motion picture entitled "How
Science Aids in Controlling Infectious Disease" at the Natural Science
Auditorium on Friday, April 19, at 4:15 p. m. This film portrays the
manufacture and standardization of biological products and should be
of interest to the members of the departments of Medicine, Dentistry,
and Pharmacy, as well as a certain proportion of the Faculty at large.
All who are interested are cordially invited to attend.

Visitors' Night-Angell Ilall Laboratory:
The public is invited to visit the Astronomical Laboratory in Angell
Hall to observe the moon from 8 to 10 p. m. on Friday and Saturday
nights, April 19 and 20. Admission only by ticket. Reservation mustt
be made by calling the Observatory Office on Ann Street between 9 a. m.
and 12 noon on Friday and Saturday.

Literary students wishing to become candidates for a University
Scholarship (value $200 or $100) may obtain blank application form
at the office of Dean Effinger. These blanks must be filled out and
i eturned not later than April 26. No application will receive considera-
tion after that date, and awards will be made by June 1.
