Faculty and Students, College of Literature, Science and the Arts: ,At this time it might be well to recall that according to Faculty action t students above the freshman year may by unanimous request have their final examinations in any given course conducted under the honor system. This regulation has been in effect for a number of years. The'faculty has further provided that all examinations except those undert the honor 'system be rigorously patrolled and that dishonesty be punished drastically with dismissal as the ordinary penalty. SANDERS WRITES PHILOLOGY NOTE Two articles by members of the University staff are included in the current number of Classical Philo- logy, national' magazine of philolo- gists. One by Prof. H. A. Sanders is on 'The Birth Certificate of a Roman Citizen," and the second, by Prof. James E. Dunlap is entitled "Florile- gium of the letters of Semmachus." The article by Professor Sanders is about a wax tablet of 128 A. D. in the University collection already de- scribed by Prof. Francis Kelsey in the "Transactions of the American Philologzcal Association," and con- cerns itself with the record ofaa Roman birth.
