Many Are Eligible Every sophomore, junior, and senior on the campus is eligible to enter the contest, according to Eiserman. Freshmen may participate only by special permission granted by the clean wf the' college in which the stu- dent is enrolled. The date of the preliminary trial has been set for Thursday, Feb. 23, at4 4 o'clock. The subject for this first trial is intercollegiate athletics, or more specifically, recent developments in intercollegiate athletics. Anyone'. entering this contest must be prepar- ed to discuss any phase of this topic, ranging from the two-team problem{ to the building of large stadia. The subject for the final contest, whvlich is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 2S, at 8 o'clock, will not be announced until. after the selection of the six men from the preliminary trial. The pre- liminary contest will be held in room 302, Mason hall, and the place of the final will be decided later.
