One of the most radical decisions of Saturday's meeting was approval of "open" tournaments, giving recog- nition to those stars who turned pros last winter to shalre in the Lenglen tour. The asociation indicated that competition between amateurs -and pros, on application of any club ix? good standing, would be sanctioned paving the way for an evenxtful open championship in tennis, like those in golf.
